Team West Deptford

For the 5th consecutive year, Township residents experienced a zero tax increase locally, along with a tax cut from our county partners, resulting in a decrease in your tax bill in 2025.

​

  • Updating of the Fire Department (new bunk rooms, day room, and showers) for 24-hour a day, 7-day a week 365 365-day per year staffing.

  • New Emergency Operations Center (for any large emergency in town)

  • New Public Works mechanics garage (to maintain our equipment)

  • Security enhancements Municipal Building

  • Security cameras (Riverwinds, little league, boat ramp)

  • New playground at the new Library.

  • Fully Staffed and Funded Police Departments, which are recognized as one of the best in the State. Furthermore, our Police Department has been awarded Full Accreditation once again by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.

  • Dubois Ave resurfacing  (scheduled)

  • Tattersall Dr resurfacing  (scheduled)

  • Queen St  resurfacing Scheduled (only from Linda Ln to the bridge)

  • Spiegel Ave resurfacing (ongoing in stages)

  • Brewer Ave resurfacing  (ongoing in stages)

 

Upcoming in 2025

  • New automated leaf truck (on site, ready to go)

  • Free dumpster program (each home twice a year)

  • Two new state-of-the-art pump stations, Cumberland Avenue and Church Street.

  • Introduced a very successful Thursday night StreetFest series this year at Riverwinds, including a multitude of vendors, activities, and live music concerts.

  • Good Government is the goal, as always, so that we can provide the best possible services while remaining fiscally responsible. Our Finance team is one of the best around, as evidenced by our AAA-bond rating, which reflects our commitment to financial excellence with our taxpayers in mind.

Jim Robinson is a lifelong resident of West Deptford Township and a 1981 graduate of West Deptford High School. He has been married to his wife, Sharon, for 39 years, and they have two children, Rachel and Tyler. For the past nine years, he has served on the West Deptford Township Committee as the Finance & Administration Chair and as the liaison to both the West Deptford Committee for People with Disabilities and the West Deptford Board of Health. He is currently employed as Vice-President and Trust Officer at First State Trust Company in Wilmington, DE, where he has worked for the past 30 years. He is also a former member of the West Deptford Township Zoning Board of Adjustments and has been a USSF Soccer Referee for the past 18 years.

Kim Schultz

Kim Schultz is a longtime West Deptford resident and a proud 2002 graduate of West Deptford High School. Committed to her hometown’s strong sense of community, she and her husband, Frank, chose to raise their daughters, Catherine and Abigail, in West Deptford, just a few blocks from where she grew up. Their girls are actively involved in local programs, including the children’s programming at the WD Library, West Deptford Little League, the Miss West Deptford organization, and the Summer Rec programs. On weekends, the girls can often be found climbing the rock wall or racing down the waterslide at RiverWinds.

Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from The College of New Jersey before obtaining her Juris Doctorate from Drexel Law School. She is a practicing attorney and serves as the Executive Director of Government and Community Affairs for a New Jersey state agency. Additionally, she shares her expertise as an Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University, teaching a wide range of courses in the law department.

As the Vice President of the West Deptford Board of Education, Kim is a dedicated advocate for transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility in local schools. Kim is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Legislative Affairs Committee and a member of the West Deptford Junior Women’s Club.
