Benefiting the community without impacting residents taxes.
West Deptford Township committee and the township mayor Jim Mehaffey have introduced a municipal budget that will not increase taxes on residents. That decision was made after careful planning and consideration. The committee believes that it will provide relief to taxpayers who have been facing financial issues due to the pandemic and its aftermath.
The budget proposed includes several key initiatives that aim to improve the quality of life for our residents while still maintaining a balanced budget. That includes, investments in infrastructure, public safety, economic development, and a focus on continuing and improving existing services.
Mayer Mehaffey praised the Township committees work when developing the budget. He said, "Our team has worked hard to ensure that this budget meets the needs of our community while also being fiscally responsible. We understand the financial challenges that many of our residents may be facing, which is why we are committed to keeping taxes stable and low while continuing to provide all essential services."
Residents of West Deptford Township have shown their appreciation towards the proposal, noting that it will provide much needed relief for them and their families. The budget itself will be subject to public comment and review before it becomes finalized. The township committee is optimistic that it will be approved and put in place within the coming months
